Neto Hatinakwe Onkwehowe in the Cayuga language translates to "Here Lives the people" (pronounced nan-toe ha-dee-naw-qway own-gway-hown-way. Our Mission statement is "to promote and support in the Western New York region the art and culture of the Indigenous People of the Americas." We are a Native arts and cultural non-for profit organization formed in 1992 out of Buffalo New York. We promote Native arts, education, cultural programs and initiatives.
 

 

Neto Hatinakwe Onkwehowe offers interactive workshops in traditional and contemporary art mediums- including photography, videography, stone carving, basket making and wood burning. Neto Hatinakwe Onkwehowe also provides interactive diversity education presentations on Native American / Native Canadian History and storytelling

Neto... has hosted workshops and exhibits, both regional and national of Native American art for more than ten years. We have showcased both contemporary and traditional craft artists, including Shelly Niro, Jeff Thomas, Tom Huff and Tom Jones II, Earl Dionne. 

 
 

Neto... has collaborated with the Langston Hughes Institute, Buffalo Arts Studio, Niagara Arts & Cultural Center, Wyoming Arts Council and Lewiston Arts Council to sponsor or co sponser Native American art exhibits and performances
